How to get help with SEN Energy Data by Sherpas, what to include so we can answer quickly, and how to solve the most common issues yourself.

1.Contact

Write to jorge@sherpas.net for anything related to the service: access, connection problems, a result that looks wrong, privacy requests or a security report. We aim to reply within one business day (Chile time). SEN Energy Data by Sherpas is a free alpha, so there is no contractual service level.

To request access, use the form on the trust page; we aim to answer requests within one business day.

2.What to include in your message

  • The AI client you used (Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client; Microsoft Copilot is coming soon).
  • The approximate date and time, with your time zone.
  • The question you asked and, if you can see it, the name of the tool that was called.
  • The exact error message, or what you expected and what you got instead.

Never send passwords, access tokens or other credentials: we will never ask for them.

You can also report a problem from inside the conversation: ask your AI client to send a report about a specific result or problem that you write (for example, type /report). It is not the conversation history: a report is designed to be sent only when you ask for it, and your AI client is instructed to show you the exact content and wait for your confirmation before sending it.

3.Common issues

"Access denied" when signing in

The alpha admits accounts by individual request. Sign in with the Google account whose request was approved; if you have not requested access yet, use the form on the trust page.

The connection stopped working or asks you to sign in again

Sessions renew themselves, but a client can still lose its connection. Disconnect SEN Energy Data by Sherpas in your client, connect it again and sign in with the same account.

The hourly usage budget is exhausted

Queries share an hourly usage budget. When it runs out, the tools answer with an explicit message (the query is not run) instead of a partial result; retry at the start of the next hour.

A figure is missing or looks out of date

Every answer states the date its data covers. The trust page lists, table by table, how fresh the data is and the gaps we have declared. If a figure contradicts what the trust page says, please tell us.

Some labels are in Spanish

The source data comes from Chile's Coordinador Eléctrico Nacional (CEN), so plant, company and category names keep their Spanish originals.
